HISTORY
In 1855, Vermont was divided from Blue Mounds into its own township. Early settlers were English, Irish, Prussian, and Austrian immigrants. There’s a tale of romance in Vermont’s history, too. Two pioneers, E.B. Erbe and Anna Christiana, were married in the town upon arriving.
SCHOOLS
Vermont is served by two districts, Wisconsin Heights and Mount Horeb. Wisconsin Heights has a B+ rating on school rating aggregator site Niche.com, scoring well in college prep and teachers. Mount Horeb’s school district is one of the top-rated districts in the area with A ratings in academics, teachers, and college prep.
