HISTORY
The village’s first settler went by the name of Bartlet Runey, who landed in 1841. Oregon is home to several historic buildings and notable people, including Shaka Smart, head coach of Marquette University’s men’s basketball team.

The Oregon School District includes a high school, middle school, intermediate school, and four elementary schools (Brooklyn, Forest Edge, Netherwood Knoll, and Prairie View), as well as an early learning/4K facility.
