INTERIOR DESIGN IDEAS INSPIRED BY THE 2020 PANTONE COLOR OF THE YEAR
CLASSIC BLUE = CLASSIC MEETS MODERN INTERIORS.
Pantone, the universal language of color, recently announced its Color of the Year for 2020. Drum roll, please…
Classic Blue is 2020’s hue. As the VP of Pantone said, “It’s a color that anticipates what’s going to happen next … what’s the future going to bring as we move into the evening hours?”
Here are our favorite interior design ideas for incorporating Classic Blue into your home:
1| TRUE BLUE CABINETS
White kitchens are giving way to bright colors, and we love the idea of using Classic Blue on kitchen cabinets. It’s bold without being too bright, and goes well with any style of decor. (More on that later!)
2| FRONT DOOR DESTINY
This is technically an exterior design idea, but Classic Blue strikes that perfect balance between textbook Americana and modern abode when it’s used as an exterior paint. Try painting your shutters or front door (or both) in this shade, called Beacon Blue from Behr.
3| ACCENT WALL, ANYONE?
Anchor any room with an accent wall painted in this twilight shade. Pinks, oranges, and greens will all pop off of this saturated color, so you’ll have unlimited options for accessorizing your new accent wall.
4| VIVID VELVET
If you spend any time on Instagram, you’ll have seen minimalist spaces adorned with luxe velvet couches. Blend two trends by investing in this gorgeous blue number from Edloe Finch.
5| DAPPER DECOR
If you’d like to incorporate Classic Blue into your home’s decor but don’t want to commit to a large project, start with a few accent items in that color. This example from Wayfair is a solid choice.
6| WHOLE ROOM KIND OF WONDERFUL
Behr’s Beacon Blue has so much potential. If you’re looking for maximum impact, try an entire room. You’ll be swathed in vibes as relaxing as the sky right after sunset.
